MOST EDUCATED INDIAN POLITICIAN



1. Jayant Sinha
                                       

He is the current minister of state for civil aviation. He cleared the IIT JEE examination when he was in standard 11. He graduated from IIT Delhi. He completed his M.Sc. (Energy Management and Policy) from University of Pennsylvania on a scholarship. He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He worked with McKinsey in the US and also served as the board for many companies and firms. 


2.Dr.Manmohan Singh

                                              


India’s 13th Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has one of the strongest of CV’s of a politician in India. His educational qualification reads: Doctorate in Economics, Oxford University. Inspite of being highly qualified, Manmohan Singh couldn’t help dirtying his hands in the Rs 1.86 lakh crore Coal Scam. Leave aside the scam, the economic state of affairs in the past decades have been shambolic.


3.Subramanian Swamy

                                   


Swamy attended Hindu College, University of Delhi, from where he earned his Bachelors Honours degree in Mathematics. He then took his master's degree in Statistics from the Indian Statistical InstituteKolkata. He was later recommended by Hendrik S. Houthakker,and went to study at Harvard University on a full Rockefeller scholarship, where he received a PhD in Economics in 1965. His thesis adviser was Nobel Laureate Simon Kuznets. In 1963, while he was a doctoral student at Harvard, Swamy worked at the United Nations Secretariat in New York City as an Assistant Economics Affairs Officer. He subsequently worked as a resident tutor at Lowell House at Harvard University

4. Jyotiraditya Scindia

                                    


He completed his schooling from the prestigious Doon School and went on to Harvard University for his undergraduation in Economics. He has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School. He worked for 4 years in Morgan and Stanley and Merrill Lynch as an investment banker. He also interned with the United Nations Economic Development. 


5. Baijayant Panda
                                            


He has a background in Engineering and Management. He studied at MIT. Before joining politics, he worked in the corporate sector for some time. 


6. Jairam Ramesh
                                        


He has a B.tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a M.Sc. from Carnegie Mellon University.

7. P Chidambaram
                                        


He has done B.Sc. (Statistics) from The Presidency College. He did LLB from Madras Law College and also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
